Schroeder went to the Rainbow Bridge on September 1st, 2021. This special loving little guy will be truly missed by his family. He was amazing. He just kept going and going. He was a basset mix and came to us as a rescue dog at approximately the age of 5. For the next 9 years he was truly loved by all that met him. During his lifetime he beat heartworms and for the last 2 yrs and 10 months was unable to use his back legs and was in a doggie wheelchair. But that never slowed him down. But the greatest thing he did was waking up his dad in the middle of the night when we had a house fire some years ago. He woke me up minutes before the smoke alarms even went off. So everyone was able to safely get out. That's why he will always be Our Little Hero.

Run free little buddy. You will always be in our hearts. You are on special guy.
We will meet you at the bridge someday.
