Obituary for Skylla Poth

Skylla chose Logan to be her person on June 17, 2012 at 10 weeks of age. So, Logan and LeeAnn took her home. Logan adored her from the beginning, but he soon learned that raising a puppy was harder than he thought. She was a very stubborn puppy, but also such a sweetheart. She received the nickname "Puppy Girl" very early on and it carried thru her life.
Skylla loved summertime and getting to play in her pool. But then winter would come and she would be in her element playing in the snow.
She was always bossy to an extent and very vocal, insisting to be heard when she deemed appropriate. When she was approximately 1.5 years of age they adopted a friend for her, his name is Thor. She quickly made him understand that she was the boss even though he was larger than her. They became very bonded and spent the last 10 years together. She enjoyed her life in all ways. When Logan had children of his own, she became a mother of sorts to them and protective of them.
Skylla dealt with hip dysplasia from an early age. But it never slowed her down. She and Thor would play like pups. Skylla then became a big sister to another dog brother, Sabie and then to dog brother, King. But it was always Skylla and Thor, best of friends!
In October 2023 she was diagnosed with cancer that was inoperable and it proceeded to grow quickly. Then on Jan 10th when LeeAnn awoke, it was clear Skylla was in severe pain. LeeAnn took her to the vet where it was discovered she had torn her acl. LeeAnn and Logan made the very hard decision to end her pain on Jan 16th.
Skylla leaves a huge hole in their hearts! It's much too quiet at home, even though 3 dogs remain, she was the one always talking and would start them all singing. Lee Ann and Logan would like to Thank Dr. Kim and vet assistant Angie and the staff at Aquadale for taking such good care of their Puppy Girl all these years with amazing compassion until the end.
